Coordination with OpenID4VCI working group

The HDK spec proposes an extension to OpenID for Verifiable Credentials Issuance:

There is interest at the OpenID Foundation in coordinating discussions about the roadmap for any missing features.

How can we best collaborate on these proposals, and on the validation of a OpenID4VCI draft for use with HDK?

Discussed during the 2024-06-10 meeting. I’ll compare @Sakurann’s diagram with the proposal in the current draft spec.

@ve7jtb mentions that draft-ietf-oauth-attestation-based-client-auth may be relevant. This might be taken into OpenID4VCI.

2024-06-17 meeting:

• Need to make explicit if a wallet solution / key supports HDK. Possibly in proof type in OpenID4VCI.
• Also have issuer indicate it – there is a way to indicate this for proof types.
• Check risk of using a PID PoP instead of additional PoP upon OpenID4VCI.
• Need proof for related refresh token?
