To use the Whatscopy, follow these steps:
- Download the extension from the Chrome Web Store Firefox Add-Ons
- Enable the extension by clicking on the extension icon while using WhatsApp Web.
- Refresh WhatsApp once after installing the extension
Description: The copy icon appears when hovering over a message, allowing easy copying of the entire message with a single click.
- Open WhatsApp Web in your Chrome browser.
- Hover over the message you want to copy.
- Click on the copy icon that appears next to the message.
- Paste the copied message wherever you need it!
Follow these steps to set up and build WhatsCopy on your local machine:
- Node.js (version 14 or higher)
- Chrome Browser (for testing the extension)

Clone the Repository:
git clone https://github.com/sharan3102/WhatsCopy.git

Navigate to the Project Directory:
cd whatscopy -
Install Dependencies:
npm install

Build the Extension:
npm run build

Load Extension in Chrome:
- Open Chrome Browser
- Go to
chrome://extensions/ - Enable Developer Mode (toggle switch usually located at the top right)
- Click on "Load unpacked" and select the
Correctdirectory within your cloned repository.
- Test the Extension:
- Open WhatsApp Web in your Chrome Browser.
- Hover over a message to see the copy icon.
- Make Modifications or Add Features:
- Feel free to modify the code or add new features according to your requirements.
- Contribute Back (Optional):
