SpeechAnalyzer is an SIL software product that allows acoustic analysis of speech and music to be carried out on a desktop or laptop computer. It assists with phonetics, phonology and ethnomusicology.

wxSA

There has been effort to port the Windows version of SA (3.0) to Mac and Linux using the wxWidgets http://www.wxwidgets.org/ GUI framework.

During effort to adjust Speech Analyzer to use wxWidgets, and run on all of Windows, Mac, and Linux, some documentation was made in 2008~2012:
