Simple bash script for playing HLS playlist files with mplayer
chmod +x hlsplayer.sh
./hlsplayer.sh url.m3u8
You need to close mplayer and pkill hlsplayer.sh after watching in order to close everything.
Quick n Dirty, but it works.
