cc @jharding @timtrueman @caniszczyk for the #390 convo
cc @mdo as well

As discussed with you guys in #390, and evident from the issues and pulls piling up, the current Twitter maintainers don't have the current time to devote to this repo.

I think Jake's done fantastic work with this, but , its extremely valuable, and we don't want to see it die off, especially when twbs is so vibrant. I personally use typeahead.js on all web app projects as well.

@theoephraim who did a great job with #390 imo has expressed interest in helping out.

Also, 331cff9 throws a cloud of confusion over usage with TWBS. @mdo do you have an opinion on this going forward?

What the community wants is a BS3 compatible (even if its with custom stylesheets rather than the default) typeahead plugin. Fair enough that the core twbs team isn't responsible for it, its a big complex chunk of JS. I don't know what Twitter's open source team wants to do here, but please help us do something.

based on excellent work done in #575 I would recommend adding @Svakinn as a maintainer as well.

This will be a top priority as soon as I get v0.10 out the door (within the next 48 hours unless I find a nasty bug). This project became much more popular than we ever really expected it to and it's been difficult to handle all of the inbound requests.

I can appreciate that :-) Great to hear action will be taken.

are you asking for volunteers jake, or has time freed up enough that you're good handling it solo? The rewrite and recent work is really impressive.

I have enough time now where I should be able to maintain the project by myself. I'd definitely welcome others to get more involved in the development of typeahead.js though (cough cough @jmwong).

Ack-ed. Let's do this.
