Welcome to the Web Agent setup guide. This document will walk you through the steps needed to get your Web Agent up and running. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure a smooth setup process.
Before you begin, make sure you have Node.js installed on your system. You can download it from Node.js official website.

Clone the Repository
First, clone the repository to your local machine using Git.
git clone <repository-url> cd <repository-directory>

Install Dependencies
Navigate to the project directory and run the following command to install the necessary dependencies:
npm install
This command installs all the packages defined in the
package.json
file, includingpuppeteer-extra
,puppeteer-extra-plugin-stealth
, and others. -
Environment Setup
You need to set up an environment variable for the OpenAI API key. Create a
.env
file in the root of your project directory.touch .env
Open the
.env
file and add the following line:OPENAI_API_KEY=your_openai_api_key_here
Replace
your_openai_api_key_here
with your actual OpenAI API key. You can obtain an API key by signing up at OpenAI.
After completing the installation and environment setup, you can run the Web Agent using the following command:
