Setup

VLC Media Player setup

Follow the below instruction:

• Open VLC Media Player (if you don't have it, you need to install it first from their official site).
• From the top menu bar, click on the Tools option to open a pop-up menu.

• Click on Preferences as shown in the above image (you can use Ctrl+P to open it directly).
• In the Preferences menu, at the bottom-left under Show settings, select the All option (as shown in the image below).

• This will open Advanced Preferences. Scroll down and select Interface to expand it (as shown in the image below).

• Under Interface, find and click Main interfaces and select Lua interpreter & Web (as shown in the image below).

• After expanding Main interfaces, you will see Lua. Under Lua, enter the following:

Lua interface
rc
Lua interface configuration
rc={host='127.0.0.1:9090'}
Port
9090

• Click on the Save icon at the bottom-right.
• After completing all the instructions, you can open vlc-discord-rpc.exe.
