How to import your data from Strava

Importing .fit files

  1. Request Bulk export from Strava
  2. Download and extract your export file
  3. In the extracted directory, you'll find a number of files and directories. Go to /activities directory
  4. Extract all files with extension .fit.gz.
  5. Go to https://gotoes.org/strava/Combine_GPX_TCX_FIT_Files.php and upload your files. It takes up to 20 files, but will accept a single archive containing all your .fit files.
  6. After uploading, proceed to combining .fit files to a single .gpx file and download it.
  7. After downloading your converted .gpx file, you can import it as usually, using Dawarich's import functionality, just make sure to select "GPX" as the source when importing.
  8. You're perfect!

Importing .gpx files

/activity directory of your export might also contain some .gpx files, the same as /routes directory. They can be imported as usual GPX files.

This approach was tested with 338 .fit files, resulting in a single 150MB .gpx file, which was then successfully imported to Dawarich 🎉
