Sorry if this is a duplicate of #52, I hope it isn't

I tried to boot my Macbook Pro 2011 of a GPT ventoy on a 128GB USB stick.
Whenever I try to load an OS the screen goes blank with a single _ and nothing else. Intrestingly the same thing appears before the grub menu loads (not sure what that could mean).
Booting the ISOs directly flashed with Rufus, Etcher etc. does work, however.
I have access to Windows, MacOS and Linux. Also, the same ISOs work on a PC.

The same underscore appears when grub hasn't loaded (i guess) yet or before plymouth.

Does anyone have the same issue?
Its such a pain having to flash an ISO if i want to use mac.
If people need more info do let me know.
