Occasionally VMs fail to be loaded from a snapshot as part of a Knative invocation.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Deploy a function
  2. Wait for function to be scaled down to 0. During this process the associated VM gets Offloaded.
  3. Invoke function

From the Knative side, the error is not observed because Knative automatically spawns/loads another VM if there is a failure.
The error can be observed from the firecracker-containerd log on the worker node on which the function instance is scheduled.
Looking at the log of the firecracker VM, the following error can be see:

It is not clear what the cause of this error is. Empirically, it seems to occur about 20% of the time. The function invocations are successful despite this error, but it is likely that the error results in some leaking resources.
